👋

I'm passionate about design systems and crafting experiences that are engaging, accessible, and user-centric.

Until recently, I worked as a product designer at Frontiers, focusing on the mobile app experience and building a design system for open science platforms. Previously I led visual design at Catawiki, a company based in Amsterdam, city where I spent almost 10 years of my life.

Over the past decade, I've worked in various areas of design, including branding, marketing, visual and UX design. I'm proud to have worn many hats and adapting to various roles.

Outside work, I enjoy good coffee, pottery and exploring the world.

Design systems

Passionately interested in the immense potential of design systems and the impact that these can have on a product and a team. I started developing this skill during my time as Design Lead at Catawiki. You can read more about it in this case study.

UX design

As an industrial design graduate, terms like design thinking, user-centric or personas have been familiar since a long time ago. After years working in different fields, learning different tools and improving my visual skills, advancing towards UX and interaction design felt very natural.

Prototyping

Supporting a basic demonstration of user flows, running an early user testing or simulating realistic user interactions ready to handoff to developers. Regardless of the design stage, I learned that creating a quality prototype is an important part of the UX design process.

Wireframes and user flows

Wireframes and user flows

These simple black and white layouts are many times overlooked, or even skipped. I tend to disagree with this for different reasons, but probably the main one is because they can save time on the entire project by finding issues at an early stage.

Branding

I love branding. Before focusing on product design, I worked at a creative agency where I collaborated with a variety of exciting brands. My experience taught me that branding and UX working together is the best way to engage and delight our users.

Illustration

When I was a child, drawing was my favourite activity to do. After some time, my paper and pencil drawings developed into vectorial illustration. Although this is just one of my hobbies, I am happy that I have been able to apply this to some smaller projects during my career.
